Bridal portraits (photos) at the Ft. Worth Botanic Gardens

Bridal photography at the Ft. Worth Botanic Gardens.

Erin asked for a traditional and elegant image. Stunning bride and wedding gown.

No question that the Ft. Worth Botanic Gardens is a favorite for brides in the Fort Worth and Tarrant County area. Let me extend that to brides as far away as Dallas, Denton, as well as Johnson and Hood County. Lots of room. Lots of photo options as well. I’ve often said, that if someone told me to do a bridal portrait session at the Botanic Gardens, and that I couldn’t replicate an image from the past, I could do sessions there for a year. On any given Saturday it’s not unusual to see a half dozen brides being photographed there. Though it is not the hot-spot for weddings, it is the venue of preference for many bridal portraits. I normally ask the brides what style bridal portraits they would prefer. Some are thinking, “Classical” or “Elegant” or “Fun” or ???

Pushing the envelope a bit with this bridal portrait.

Very popular spot at the Ft. Worth Botanic Gardens.

This is probably the most popular spot for professional photographers to do a bridal session. Why? Because we may use a dozen different locations, but many brides choose as their bridal portrait an image from this location. If done right, the lighting is great, and the “tunnel” effect is a wonderful “framing element” to the final image. This location does take patience, as this spot is almost always in use. It is not unusual to find a surprise person or stroller in the background, requiring additional images.

I’ll be posting more as time allows…
